台

灣大學為台灣第一學府，其前身為日本創辦之台北帝國大學，為台灣最早之綜合大學，以自由主義學風著稱，大王椰子樹為其校樹，意為「十年樹木，百年樹人」。

Taiwan University is the first university in Taiwan. Its predecessor was the Imperial College of Taipei. It is the earliest comprehensive university in Taiwan. It is famous for its style of liberalism. The king coconut tree is its school tree, which means "ten years of trees and hundred years of trees".
